Print Dress: H&M (in store, similar/similar) | Draped Belted Vest: H&M (similar for $22!) | Strappy Suede Heels | Crosssbody Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, old (similar/similar) | Black Leather Watch (almost half off!) | Gold Elephant Necklace (fave dainty necklace!)
This is probably one of my favorite outfits to date. For a few reasons, but I simply love each individual piece so combined, its a winning package. Before my recent trip to Atlanta, I stumbled upon these two good finds (the dress and belted vest) while at H&M and it didn’t occur to me until later that I could actually pair them together for a fab look. I mean can you believe I bought these pieces from there…they are on budget but look so expensively chic, and I love when that happens! I was not necessarily on the hunt for this dress but when I saw it, it screamed out for me that it needed a good home. I actually went up a few sizes surprisingly because otherwise it fit too snug around the arms and I’m a hugger, so clearly that didn’t work. I love that it’s so bold to stand out on its own or can be paired with a chic coat and tights for the fall/winter. A printed dress like this may not be something you would think could fit in the workplace but paired with this belted vest, it tones it down a bit and adds that professional element. Knowing that I had to attend a happy hour event while in Atlanta, I decided this would be the perfect look for the occasion as well. However, I went with strappy shoes and a small crossbody bag to have that night time/happy hour drinks kind of vibes. This outfit will probably be on repeat but I plan on changing it up when it gets colder and wearing this dress with my new favorite over the knee boots or these suede tassel boots (for only $36!) that I have been wearing everywhere. Also did I mention this outfit would be perfect for all those holiday or dinner parties in the near future? Not too over the top, but the perfect color combination for a Christmas dinner.
