Burgundy Mock Neck Sweater Dress (on sale, more colors!) || Black Military Double Breasted Coat: Zara (love this one/similar/similar/similar) || Black Leather Ankle Booties: Zara (cute option/classic pair) || Black Leopard Crossbody: Vince Camuto (similar) || Gold Chain Necklace: Bauble Bar (similar)
First let me start this post by saying: I could honestly wear a sweater dress every day if it wasn’t so hot in Texas all the time, they are just so comfortable and can also be chic enough to wear to the office instead of the casual look you can do with them. This particular one is on sale for $26 and when I saw it in my favorite color I naturally had to throw it into my cart. I also have a similar one that I wore a while back (as shown here) that was olive green and unique in that it split appearing to be a top/skirt. I know winter is almost coming to an end soon, but I think these dresses transition nicely into spring where it’s sunny but still a little crisp outside. Otherwise if you’re still in a place where it’s actually winter season, pairing this dress with tights would be such a cute option, especially for work! When I wore this look, the wind was out of control so I paired this dress with my new favorite double breasted coat that I snagged on sale, but it wasn’t freezing per se so I just stuck with ankle booties. I always say dresses and ankle boots have become such a favorite combo, one that will definitely be on repeat in the spring. Speaking of that, I just snagged this new pair of ankle boots, that I CANNOT wait to wear all the time going into the spring/summer. Reason being they are unique in the color/style and they are SO comfortable, I’m so serious, worth every freaking hardworking penny! I plan on wearing them again tomorrow so catch them styled on my Instagram. Buying a big coat in Texas is somewhat laughable since the wearability is slim but I bought this double breasted military inspired one anyways. It was on sale and I think having a classic staple piece like this one in your closet is a must have for anyone, regardless of where you live. I invested in it now (like I said, on sale duh) but so that I won’t have to buy another black one for a long time. Chic enough for work with heels but looks just as good with some jeans and loafers. I may only have a few more days I can wear this coat but I know which one I’ll be grabbing first thing when it gets cold again next fall/winter.
